kleines Follow-up unseres Abends: Mrk 421 hat mich grade wie erwartet/erhofft aufgeweckt...
ich hab soeben folgende Nachricht an die Gamma-Community rausgeschickt:
Dear colleagues,
Mrk 421 is still bright.
FACT observations:
Day: Jan 19; MJD 58137
Duration: 0.5h since 1:06 UTC
Zenith distance: 35-40
Preliminary flux level: ~6 Crab Units
Please note that the quoted flux is a result of the automatic quick look analysis and should therefore be treated as very preliminary.
Comments:
The observations just started and already the first data point is above 6 CU.
http://fact-project.org/monitoring/index...plot=night
The weather is fine again tonight.
A Swift ToO is ongoing with an observation every orbit between now and 13 UTC.
The FACT observations will continue until 7 UTC.
Let's see the source will continue during the night.
Best,
Daniela
